In a nutshell

🎯 We are currently recruiting an Databricks Consultant / Data Engineer to support one of our client’s teams.

Location: Fully Remote

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Duration: Minimum 12 months

Daily Rate: CHF 300/day (fixed rate)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Databricks.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop data transformations using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Optimize Spark jobs, data models, and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement and manage Delta Lake architectures and data quality processes.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data requirements.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and documentation of data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with strong hands-on expertise in Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with data lakes, Delta Lake, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure and Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional level of English.

Additional Information

• This is a fully remote role.
• Long-term assignment with a minimum commitment of one year.
• Fixed daily rate: CHF 300/day.
