Deploying Power Platform governance: Qim info’s action plan
To meet the objectives defined, Qim info mobilised a team comprising a developer, an architect and a security specialist. During their 16-day assignment, the consultants have been involved at every strategic stage of the project, from analysing the existing situation to deploying operational governance.
The actions undertaken are organised around four main areas:
- Technical and functional audit: assessment of the Microsoft 365 environment, existing applications and workflows, and identification of shortfalls in relation to best practice.
- Definition of Power Platform governance: clarification of roles (IT, business, users), and the formalising of authorised use cases and usage rules, in line with security and maintainability objectives.
- Setting up environments: configuring Power Platform and Microsoft 365 in accordance with the rules defined, implementing supervision and administration tools to reinforce IT visibility of usage.
- Migration and packaging: restructuring existing solutions to align them with governance standards, creating packages to facilitate deployment and maintenance.
Qim info also ensures a transfer of skills to anchor governance in-house on a long-term basis. As a result, the company has a solid, scalable framework that ensures secure usage while preserving the agility of its divisions.
